This information on Hostice is from a photocopy the Balch Institute made for the submitter 15 years ago. Unfortunately, they did not write the reference on the photocopy, but they said it was a from a book written in the 1920s or 1930 by a person who visited many small Jewish settlements in Central Europe.
The following text is from the original photocopy in Czech - many thanks to Eugen Stein for the initial translation:
Dle zaznamu matricnich lze souditi, ze v H. u Volyne bylo usazeno dosti rodin zidovskych.
O tom svedci i ta okolnost, ze zide hosticti meli i avou synagogu a hrbitov. Avsak behem
casu ubyvalo existencnich podminek v teto male obci a tak nastala prirozene emigrace.
Kdyz pak zanikly podminky pro dalsi trvani obce, byla tato zrusena.
Synagogu i hrbitov prevzala zidovska obec ve Volyni dne 30 ledna 1899. Synagoga prodana
soukromniku lzaku a Johanne Weilovym za 20 zl.; vyminila si vsak obec volynska, ze bude
vlozen do posemkovych knih servitut, ze na pudorysu jejim, kdyby rozbourana byla, zrizeno
nebylo nic jineho nezli zahradka, by to misto nebylo znesveceno.
Od 3. cervna 1902 patri manzelum Trejbalovym, kteri servitut prejali do kupni smlouvy.
Obec volynska sice dohlizi na brbitov, ale ohrada jeho i pomniky jsou jiz v takovem
stavu, ze nelze pomysleti na opravu.
