Robert Skidelsky was born in 1939 in Harbin, Manchuria, moved to England when he was three and then went back to China with his parents in 1947.  In January 2006, Prospect Magazine published his article, "A Chinese Homecoming", recounting his family's migration from Russia to China and his own return to the land of his birth in September 2005.  The article is reprinted here with permission given on August 21, 2007, by John Kelly, publisher of Prospect Magazine (http://www.prospectmagazine.co.uk/).
