The Yiskor book for the town of Goniadz was edited by J. Ben-Meir Treshansky and published in Israel in 1960. This incredible volume contains first hand accounts of everyday life in the shtetl before the second world war, and of the destruction of the town’s Jewish population in the Shoah. It has been translated into English through the efforts of Suzanne Scheraga, Jewishgen.org and the funding of numerous individuals. The English translation is now available online as well as in a printed edition.
