As World War II ended the Polish government asked survivors to register. These registration cards can be located at the Jewish Historical Institute in Warsaw. |

This card is for survivor Joel Mandel, son of Menachem Zalman Mandel and Rosie Winz, who lists his sister Pesia Mandel as family in New York. Joel came to the US in 1949 and lived and worked in the Bronx, New York until his death in 1975. He is the great-uncle of your webmaster and Pesia is her grandmother. |
