I
have waited thirty years for the opportunity of greeting my co-founders,
fellow members and friends at our thirtieth anniversary.
It
seems remarkable at this time how quickly thirty years have flown past.
It
feels as if it were only yesterday when we, as a small group of seven friends
from Belchatow, came together at Brother Max Eisner's home, and by a cask of
beer and other good refreshments, organized the Belchatower Young Men's
Association with a starting capital of seven quarters. Since then thirty of
our best years have gone by -- but not without purpose. We have worked and
contributed our utmost to the society.
I
hope at this time you will all agree with me that none of us should be missing
at our fiftieth anniversary. So do not forget that we have a date in twenty
years from now, that is, in 1961.
