Złoczew, Poland - Survivors

For the Fallen and Murdered by German Fascism in September 1939 - Zloczew Community September 1979:   Homage to the Fallen for the Homeland - Zloczew 2005:

Zloczew Poland   Zloczew Poland

My maternal grandmother, Faiga Zelda Zaltzberg, was born in 1896 in Zloczew.  Most of her 6 siblings were also born there.  After her marriage in 1918 to Shulem Pietrykowsky from Zdunska Wola, she moved to Lodz.  She owned and operated a restaurant named "Restauracje Pietrykowsky" on Lutomierska street.  She had 6 children.  During the Shoah, she was imprisoned with her husband and children in the Lodz Ghetto.  On August 15, 1944, she was deported to Auschwitz where she was murdered.  Her husband and three of her children also did not survive the war.

I am dedicating this Shtetlinks site to the memory of the Zaltzberg, Erdynast, and Bresler/Breslauer family members from Zloczew who were murdered in the Shoah, as well as the Survivors and their descendants all over the world.

Sincerely,

Felicia Pietrkowski Zieff
