The Schwarz Family Tombstone Mirogoj Cemetery Zagreb

Of interest about this cemetery is that Jewish tombstones are located mixed with other non-Jewish tombstones. Customarily in other European communities Jews are buried in Jewish sections. Unlike the older cemeteries, which were church-owned, Mirogoj was owned by the city, and accepted burials from all religious backgrounds. Earthquake in July 2020 did damage to some old landmarks’ structures.
