This photograph of Mordecai Troyansky taken in 1905 in Romanovka was
submitted by Lynn Arroyo. Mordecai was Chaim
Troyansky's nephew. Mordecai was born about 1866 and was married to
Esther Goodstein. They had eight children. Front Row: Loeb (Louis)
Troyansky about 5 years old. Second Row: 2 small children behind Louis
are, l to r: Nathan Troyansky and Harry Troyansky. Third Row: Abraham (Avrom),
Rifka, Mordecai b.1866, Esther Goodstein, and Chana. Back Row; l to r:
Morris and Schmuel. (Schmuel is just behind Chana). Mordecai was killed
in 1918 during a pogrom on the same day the Czar was killed. This branch
of the family came to the U.S. in 1920. |
