Potok Złoty Landsmanshaftn

Landsmanshaftn: In the 1960s, the American Jewish Historical Society (AJHS) microfilmed the Jewish incorporation records for Landsmanshaftn and other town and country-related organizations incorporated in New York County the period from 1848-1920. These Landsmanshaftn provided social and economic services and support for their members. • First Potok Złoty Linas Hazedek Brother Benevolent Association - incorporated in 1905 - Document # 1218 

New York Metropolitan Area Landsmanshaftn Burial Plots: In 1989, the Jewish Genealogical Society, Inc. (New York) began an effort to identify the names and cemetery locations of all Jewish burial society plots in the New York metropolitan area. These include plots of landsmanshaftn, synagogues, family circles, fraternal organizations and labor unions. The following Potok Złoty Landsmanshaftn plots are listed:

• Independent Potok Złoty Sisters & Brothers Benevolent Society - Beth David (Elmont - Section 1, Block 4

• First Potok Złoty Peace & Justice Brothers Benevolent Society - Baron Hirsch - Section R, Gate 21

• First Potok Złoty Peace & Justice Brothers Benevolent Society - Mt. Hebron - Block 28, Path 13; Block 29, Path 12

• First Anschai Potok Złoty Linas Hazedek S. & B. S. (post) - Mt. Zion - Path 14 Left, Gate 13

Note: Although only incorporated Landsmanshaft is listed for Potok Złoty there were two Potok Złoty Landsmanshaftn listed under "Mutual Benefit Societies" in the American Jewish Year Book 1907-1908 :

• First Potok Złoty Peace and Justice Brotherly Benevolent Society

• Linas Hazedek Anshe Potok Zloty
