· In some of the pages girls names are written with the Polish suffix owna or owska which is the Polish suffix / patronymic denoting “daughter of”.
Example:

SZHARFÓWNA = SZARF
KRAUSÓWNA = KRAUS

The given name normally comes before the surname but it is also not uncommon to find the given name after the surname. In cases where this occurred we have changed the order so all surnames would be listed on the same row.
