1922
(4)Philip born: November 2nd , named for Fischel.
Fanny Reiter and husband Robert Levy name their son, Philip; Hyman and Sarah name their second son born that year Philip.
1920's--Toledo retail stores open: Lion store, La Salle and Koch, Lamson Brothers, Tiedtkes on Summit St opened in 1894, moved to Summit in 1910, sold everthing from coffee to shoes.

1925
Efraim/Frank Reinstein-Zuker dies--(c 1840-1925)
Lena attends night school
Daddy breaks picket line--stink bomb thrown into house; lands in piano--the awful smell lingers.
Trianon Ball Room opens

1926
Adolph buys a 4 - seater Durant "Star-1921", low-end priced model - see picture
Durant developed it to compete w/Ford model T and Chevrolet-Ford thought credit was "immoral"
Durant creates new sales tactic: "finance cars" 3out of 4 bought on credit
Family moves out Bancroft-- further west to Thatcher Dr near Jermain Park, Toledo Hospital.

1927
Mudhens established in 1901. Played at Swayne Field. 1909 finest minor league ball park in America. 1927 Casey Stengel manager earned first and only pennant.

Chana retires working, about age 75, living with Hyman and family.

1928
Hyman and family move to New York city
Adolph-Lena, back in old neighborhood 2275 Jerome
Adolph and partner owned large factory, (subcontractors for New York company. They manufactured (by piece meal), ladies suits and coats--National Cloak Company. It was located off Cherry Street, across bridge--turn right, hospital, East Toledo.
Adolph took Phil (about seven or eight years old) to the "shop". Afterwards, Adolph takes a wad of money to buy Phil shoes that came up over ankles, like a boot. Phil didn't want to wear them.

1929
April 21st, Sidney Bar Mitzvah'd
Paramount movie theater opens
October 4th , 'Car sales take a dip', noted Alfred Sloan, manager of General Motors.
October 24th --stock market crashes
November 7th, Frank born at 2275 Jerome St
