Skala and the Shoah Foundation

Return to Skala Kehilalinks page

The Shoah Visual History Foundation was established in 1994 by movie-producer Steven Spielberg. Its purpose is "to document the experiences of survivors and other witnesses of the Holocaust [and] to overcome prejudice, intolerance, and bigotry – and the suffering they cause – through the educational use of the Foundation's visual history testimonies."

On the Foundation's website, those who were interviewed are identified only by their first names and surname-initials. Testimony relating to Skala may be found by use of the Shoah Foundation's web-site search engine.

The Foundation offers on-site access to these testimonies at its facility at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, as well as at selected other universities in the United States.
