This street starts at the bridge on the San River. The brigde is now called "most Orlat Przemyskich" (the bridge of the Przemyśl Eagles). Jagiellonska Street connects the bridge with Plac na Bramie, where it becomes Slowackiego Street. At that same spot, another major street, ulica Mickiewicza, connects with Jagiellonska from the east.
During World War II, the Germans came across the San River to Jagiellonska Street and then west to Mickiewicza, which was the way East towards Russia. At that time the pedestrian iron bridge was destroyed by the retreating Polish Army; the Germans built a pontoon bridge and a wood bridge nearby. The military was moving there day and night.
