An urban settlement which in 1989 had a population of 1700. Naroch Lake (in Polish Narocz) is the source of the Naroch River. It is a noted summer resort and tourist attraction. Fisheries and a fish processing plant are part of the economy of Kobylnik and a renown sanatorium (with cottages) and adjoining hospital are located on the lake.
