This plaque, written in Hebrew and Hungarian, reads:
"In memoriam/In witness
To their holy souls,
the men, women, children and small babies
who were transported from Miskolc to Auschwitz to be slaughtered
and burned for the kiddush ha-Shem [sanctification of the Name]
on the 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th of Sivan 1944.
In memory of our blood.
They died a martyr’s death in Auschwitz because they were Jewish.
The deportation death trains departed on 11, 12, 13, 14 June 1944.
They arrived in Auschwitz on 13, 14, 15, 16 June 1944
Your servants' spilled blood is known to our vengeful eyes."
