View of a communal memorial plaque opposite the Kazinczy utca entrance to the Kazinczy utca synagogue.
The inscription on the plaque reads:
"Look down from the sky and see that they drove us like a herd to the slaughter-house…to destruction,
but nevertheless, we did not forget your sacred name.
We established this hall of remembrance with reverence to the sacrifice of our 14,000 martyrs of Miskolc who were removed by force.
Their memory is engraved in our Avas Cemetery’s commemorative column and our memorials in our temple.
Do not forget us!"
