Adolf Schwartz
In 1913, the petition to become a US citizen included the applicant's town and country of birth and the name of the ship and date on which the applicant arrived in the US. Although Adolf Schwartz's wife Pauline was born in New York, in this era when American women did not even have the right to vote, she and their three New York-born children were included in his citizenship papers.
