A Virtual Tour of Jewish Lodz

The Main Alley in the Lodz Cemetery

These visitors to the Lodz Cemetery are standing in the "Aleja Glówna" or Main Alley, after entering the cemetery through the Inner Gate. The wealthiest and most prominent citizens of Lodz were buried along both sides of the Main Alley. Most of those who were prominent in religious life or activists in Orthodox organizations were buried in sections along the Inner Wall.
