The family of Chaim Mayer Shneider, son of Shlomo, was listed as early as 1877 in Kupiskis records. But not much is known today of the family before many emigrated to either the United States or South Africa. Chaim Mayer's children, Feiga Rochel, Joseph Shimon, and Shmuel Eliah went to the U.S., and Michel Usher, Yankel Abba and Leah went to South Africa. Chaim Mayer's great grandson, Yigal Scholnik, who now lives in Israel, has supplied us with the photos and family information. Yigal is the grandson of Leah Shneider. |
