We've collected a number of photographs of Krosno and we hope you enjoy viewing them. If you have one that's especially pertinent, please feel free to send it along (either as a photo or in jpeg format). Please email Jeff Alexander.
The photographs below are various views of Krosno, along with a

Kleiner, the Hebrew teacher, who was from Kielce, cousin Ryfkah
Platner, Feiga Hemerling the daughter of Kiva H, the Dayan of
Krosno. And Lusia Wils living in Cholon
On the right....a wonderful photograph of the Ul.
Slowackiego (Slowackiego Street) from 1941...
thank you Robert!
The 1939 photograph below on the right, also donated by Alexander White, is the Rabbi of Krosno, Schmuel Fuehrer.
Next, Alexander sent these photographs of the houses in Krosno (he said that nearly all the houses were Jewish) and the time his father (who was from Dabrowa) was the pupil of the famous Rabbi Weidenfeld.
Last we present these wonderful photographs which were donated by Ruben Weiser of Buenos Aires.
Ruben's great grandfather, Itzjak Elovitz (a descendent of Rabbi Elimelej of Lizensjk) was born in Zborov, Slovakia, and moved early in life to Krosno. There Itzjak married Hana Pessel, who was born in Korczyna.
Up until 2019, Phyllis Kramer (OBM) developed and maintained this KahilaLink. Phyllis did a wonderful job documenting and sharing information about this shtetl. Starting in July 2021 Jeff Alexander is trying to fill Phyllis’ shoes. Please contact Jeff Alexander for anything related to this shtetl
