May 2011
Dear Kremenets District Friends,
I am pleased to announce that we have added 3,507 entries from 1,072 Vyshgorodok birth records to our searchable Concordance.
These records are for the years 1878-1889 and 1895-1900. The searchable Concordance
is available on our JewishGen Shtetlinks
website at:
http://www.shtetlinks.jewishgen.org/Kremenets/web-pages/master-surnames.html
Many thanks to Susan Sobel, Judith Springer, and Adam Bronstein for their work
on this project. Susan, one of our board members, obtained digital images of
the records from the Central Archives of the Jewish People (at Hebrew
University in Jerusalem). Judith translated the records. Adam created the
searchable entries for the Concordance.
As usual, if, within the past two years, you have contributed to our work in
any way (money, documents, services, etc.) you can download the Excel
spreadsheet containing these records from our secure Google website:
https://sites.google.com/site/kdrgcontributors/
Please let me know if you have difficulty accessing or downloading the
spreadsheet.
If you have not yet contributed to our work, now is a good time. Those who
donate either time, documents, or money to our activities receive access to our
Google website where we post pre-release copies of all translations and, in
some cases, the original documents from which they are derived. The generosity
of our members enabled us to complete translations of the Vyshgorodok
vital records. We hope you also will help fund our work by making a donation to
our Kremenets account at JRI-Poland. Contributions to
"Jewish Records Indexing - Poland" may be made by check, bank draft,
money order, or credit card. Be sure to specify that your contribution is for
the Kremenets Shtetl CO-OP. Send your donation or credit card information to:
