Summary of the article
 “Проскуров. Погром 1919 года” (Proskurov. Pogrom of 1919)
by Larissa Kilimnik, Khmelnitskiy, Ukraine - Link

This article is dedicated to some aspects and details of that bloody pogrom of February 15, 1919, which was carried out by Petlyura’s troops in the Jewish neighborhoods of Proskurov. The author gives some data on the Jewish history of Proskurov and reasons, motion and results of the pogrom. The most interesting and important (to me) tells about the heroic deed of the Russian Orthodox priest, Klimentiy Vasil’yevich Kachurovskiy who made the very brave but risky attempt to stop the pogrom and, as a result, was murdered by pogromchiks.  Larissa Kilimnik also tells with many interesting details about the cathedral in which Father Klimentiy served and next to which he was assassinated. The author got information on the biography of Klimentiy Kachurovskiy and on the history of this cathedral from two most competent persons: from Oleg Kachurovskiy, a grandson of the murdered priest and the Larissa’s classmate, and also from the priest and the historian Sergey Prichishin. The article includes a beautiful picture of the cathedral.
At the end of the article you can read the author’s short Auto-Biography.

Summary of the article
“Из прошлого – в будущее” (From the Past - to the Future)
by Larissa Kilimnik, Khmelnitskiy, Ukraine - Link

This article is a continuation of the previous one.  It was written on the basis of the interview given by Oleg Kachurovskiy  to Larissa Kilimnik. It has a subtitle “Oleg Kachurovskiy tells…” and includes three short chapters:
- “About the grandfather’s family”;
- “Oleg Kachurovskiy tells about himself”;
- “The Family pictures” (including the only survived picture of the hero, Klimentiy Kachurovskiy which was used for creating the bas-relief on the Monumental Memorial  to the Proskurov Pogrom victims). All those rare pictures are kept in Oleg Kachurovskiy’s domestic Archives.
Because we can see the murdered priest’s descendants up to 5th generation, the title of the article is “From the Past - to the Future”. Thanks a lot to the author, Larissa Kilimnik, for both unique articles.
