The Kraków Research Project is currently trying to obtain the balance of the records from the Kraków Archives. This does not include census material — only birth, marriage and death (BMD) records through 1895. As you may know, the Mormons did not microfilm all the records that are available.

We will have to pay for the indexes to the BMD records for available years. Volunteers will then enter the indices into a database. This of course is the cheapest way. For years without indexes, we will have to pay the workers chosen by the Kraków Archive to create an index. We won't receive anything until all the money necessary has been collected. How much that will be, we don't yet know. After that, you can order copies of records through the Polish State Archive in Warsaw at a cost of $10.00 per document.

If you send a check, please write this on the face of the check.
