On some of the pages, girl’s names are
written with the Polish suffix owna or owska which is the Polish suffix /
patronymic denoting “daughter of”. Example:
ROSENTHALÓWNA = ROSENTHAL
SCHERZÓWNA = SCHER
KANARKÓWNA = KANAREK
When some letters of a name or surname were hard to read both possibilities were listed, after making sure that both names were found in our area of research.
