Topics include a geopolitical history of Galicia,, with an emphasis on population data and religious, economic, and community life; the history of how Jewish vital records were collected and maintained; vital, military, notary and other records today with their locations; bibliographic and other media resources about Galicia; resources for translating and conducting research; U.S. resources and language aids. The book includes the names of towns and cities where Jews lived in 1870 and their administrative districts and subdistricts. Members of Gesher Galicia contributed articles and material to this book.
