GOUREVITCH FAMILY

     Hirsch GOUREVITCH left Dubrowna between 1905 and 1917.  He left, according to family lore, to avoid conscription into an army where Jews were martyred.  He escaped Bielorussia by hiding under a train.  He intended to go to the USA, but remained in Paris where his grandson lives today.  Information about his family is scarce as he died when his grandson was very young, and there is no information about his family other than that he had brothers and sisters.
