At the end of 1885 there were 11 families in the colony.

Population 3,891

182 km NE of Odessa; 60 km N of Kherson, a short distance from the town of Snigirovka.

Established in 1807.

The name Kalindorf was assigned in 1927 to the Jewish Agricultural Colony called at that time Bolshoya Seidemenuchka (Sde Menucha i Hebrew meaning "field of rest".

Yerachmael Politz was a 19c rabbi there.
