Sur le Shtetl

Buschwiller - France - departement du Haut-Rhin - arrondissement de Mulhouse - canton de Huningue.

Buschwiller is a very small and beautiful village not far from the Swiss border. There was a Jewish Community of more than 500 people and a synagogue was built in 1790 but since the beginning of the 20th century the Jewish Community disappeard. In 1970 a "Yeshiva" (Talmud school) was built and it is still there today.

La vie Juive en Alsace  -  "Jewish life in Alsace" from the memories of my step-father Fernand (Nenand) GOLDSCHMIDT. It's in French for now but I'll translate it into English as soon as I can.

Judaisme Alsacien - History, shtetls, synagogues an much more.

Page Rixheim - at the CDHF (Departement Centre of Famillies History),
