this photo of a medal presented by Chevra Ohev Sholem Anshei Bulaczowce
presented to president E. Guttman in 1902, thanks to Michael
Oppenheim, Distinguished Professor Emeritus, Concordia University,
Montreal. In Professor Oppenheim's words "The medal is about 2
1/2" by 1 1/2". It is a very nice but typical award medal, a type, with
many variations, that was used by many Jewish synagogues, landsmanshaftn
and other Jewish organizations between roughly 1870 and the 1930s." |
