CERTIFICATE
OF
INCORPORATION
OF THE
CHARITABLE AND BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION
BIELSKER BRÜDERLICHE UNTERSTÜTZUNGS VEREIN

We the undersigned subscribers, seven persons of full age, and
citizens of the United States, and residents of the City and State
of New York, being desirous of associating ourselves together, for
the purpose of forming an Association for CHARITABLE AND
BENEVOLENT PURPOSES; and in order to form and become a corporation
and body politic, for the effectually carrying out said purposes;
and in order to secure all the rights and privileges incident to
such a body politic or corporation created for such said purposes,
do hereby, in accordance with Chapter 319 of the Laws of the year
1848, of the State of New York, and the Amendments and Supplements
thereto, CERTIFY, as follows: --
FIRST:- The name or title by which such said
CHARITABLE AND BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION and corporation shall be
known in Law, shall be
THE CHARITABLE AND BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION
BIELSKER BRÜDERLICHE UNTERSTÜTZUNGS VEREIN.
SECOND:- The principal business and purposes of
such CHARITABLE AND BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION, and the objects
thereof shall be to assist the members of such CHARITABLE AND
BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION, and their families and the countrymen of
such members, in cases of sickness and distress, and also to
conduct and hold religious services under the Orthodox Jewish
Faith and Ritual on the Jew New Years Day and day of Atonement,
only.
THIRD: - The affairs of such CHARITABLE AND
BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION shall be managed by seven directors, which
number may be increased from time to time as circumstances may
require.
FOURTH:- The following are the names of the
Directors and Trustees for the first year of the existence of such
CHARITABLE AND BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION and corporation:-
Michael Rubin President.
Isaac Gurnansky Vice President.
Jacob Brenner Treasurer.
Meyer Wasser Secretary.
Philip Bloom 1st
Trustee.
Jacob Becker Trustee.
Morris Sidranski Trustee.
The said CHARITABLE AND BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION
and corporation shall be located in the City of New York.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF we have hereunto set our
hands and seals this 26th day of May, 1888.

On
this 26th day of May 1888, personally appeared before me the above
named Michael Rubin, Isaac Gurnansky, Jacob Brenner, Meyer Wasser,
Philip Bloom, Jacob Becker and Morris Sidranski, to me known and
known to me to be the persons described in and who executed the
foregoing Certificate of Incorporation, and they then and there
acknowledged to me that they executed the same for the purposes
therein set forth.
