Leyb (Yudel Leyb) Waldman was born in Rogeve (Raguva) in 1808 to Nosel Waldman, the family's patriarch.  In ~1829 Leyb married Sora Rocha Skudovich, who was born ~1812, likely in Raguva. Sora Rocha died in Troskunai before 1882. Leyb died in Troskunai in 1900. They had four known children who settled in Troskunai, and one who settled in nearby Anyksciai.

The five known children of Leyb Waldman and Sora Rocha Skudovich:

I.  Leyzer (Eliezer) Waldman was born in Troskunai in 1830. He married Feyga, who was born in 1833 and died before 1900. "Feter Leyzer" (Uncle Leyzer), as he was known to the family, kept all of his money in a money belt and, according to family lore, "lived out in the woods and where he was presumably killed by either wolves or thieves [highwaymen] at some point in the early 1900's." Leyzer died in Troskunai in 1900.

II.  Nosel (Nisan) Waldman, later Nathan Waldman, was born in Troskunai or Raguva in 1832. In ~1868 he married Ita Ras (Edith Ross), who was born in 1833 in Pušalotas (Pushalat) In ~1875 he married his second wife, Etta Labo, who was born in 1844, likely in Raguva. According to their granddaughter, Nathan mostly studied the Torah and Talmud while Etta (Labo), was the 'breadwinner'.  Etta was an herbalist and would collect herbs from the forest to create medicinal blends which she would then trade with the non-Jews of Troskunai for their eggs, milk, etc. Etta died in Troskunai on 23 October 1900. In 1903 Nathan married his third wife, Basia Nema (Bessie) Mesco, who was born in Kavarskas in November 1864. Nathan and Bessie emigrated in 1906 and settled in New York City, where Nathan died on 29 February 1908.  Bessie died in Brooklyn, New York, on 19 November 1927.
