The non-italicized numbers near the town represent the number of dwellings (Zahl der Wohnhäuser). Thus the 275 by Szaty means 275 dwellings in 1911. Assuming that the later Lithuanian map 1:25,000 uses the same system, then the 165 represents a decrease in the number of dwellings caused by the WWI fire.

The italicized numbers are the elevation in meters.
