    Description: Not to be confused with Svisloch (Grodno Gubernia). Located North of and close to Bobruisk.

    1912-Mordecai Dov Alpert, born 1855, was rabbi here. Birthplace of Shmarya Levin 1867-1935, Zionist activist. Childhood in Exile, 1929, was an English tranlation of his memoir of childhood years in Svislotch.
