18th Century Jewish Record

Jewish Family History Foundation -- Our focus is on the Grand Duchy of Lithuania-Kingdom of Poland Commonwealth, in the 18th century; on early Russian Empire Revision Lists and 1784 and 1765 census/tax lists of the Jewish kahals. This area later became Belarus, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and Ukraine. This territory is the ancestral homeland of 80 percent of the Jews alive in the world today. In addition to the Grand Duchy censuses we will supplement this data with civil, Jewish kahal and noble estate records that we have identified, going back to the beginning of the 17th century
