Important Information for Travel to Yurburg (Jurbarkas, in Lithuanian)

• Please note that there few if any Jews left living in Yurburg (any now living in town are recent arrivals and not from the Jewish community that was destroyed in 1941). It is located about one hour travel to the west of Kaunas (Kovno) on the beautiful Neiman River.
• The Jewish cemetery remains one of the very few in good condition in any small town in Lithuania. It lies to the east of town. Located at the same spot is the Memorial and the Mass Murder site of hundreds of Jews of Yurburg. Click here for more information and the list of identified headstones in the cemetery.
