Jewish families that lived in Solotvyno, and possibly other nearby villages, used the old Solotvyno cemetery as the final resting place for
their loved ones. Today, there is a new cemetery in use.
The Jewish cemeteries are both located in the town, one along a street and one on a hillside, nearby the old salt mine.
Both cemeteries—shown below—are well-maintained and visited often by descendants.
In the documents section of the "Other" tab, you will find a link to a U.S. Commission Report completed in 2005 that attempted to
document Jewish Cemeteries (and Synagogues and Mass Grave Sites) in Ukraine. Both cemeteries are listed in the Zakarpats'ka oblast.
