Notes from Yehua Kotton, her great-nephew:

         My great aunt Yaffa wrote a few pages of memoirs, "About my family in Skala on the Zbrutz river in Galicia", that I translated from old faded papers.

My great aunt Yaffa (Sheindel) Fingerman (Edelman) 1904-1980 was born in Skala to:
        Father: Yerchamiel (1877-1919) son of Sima Benzion  and Yoel Edelman (1854-aft.1919)
        Mother: Rivka (Rebezia) Gottesfeld (1879-1943), daughter of Hersh (and Granddaughter of Avrum Moishe Gottesfeld) and Ettie-Dvora Frachter (1843-1922)

The family lived in house 46 in Skala. Yaffa's sister was my grandmother, Sosie Hudie (Sonia) Kotton (Edelman) 1905-1945. The murder of her father in the story above took place in 1919. Her Life after marriage to Motty Fingerman was in Israel. There is no photo of her father.
