This is a beautiful, large city in the Moldavian region of Romania, at the foot of the Carpathian Mountains and on the banks of the Bistrița River. We our lunch at a rustic, open-air restaurant in a recreational park high in the hills surrounding the city and then toured the city.

We rode the cable car up the mountain (which is a ski hill in winter) and marvelled at the views of the city from the heights:
