Nehrovo Religious

~ Religious Life ~

Nehrovo had two synagogues in the 1930's, one on the border with the neighboring town of Dorobratovo and one synagogue in another section of Nehrovo.
Neither had a permanent rabbi. There was also a cheder (religious school) in Nehrovo. Binyamin Wolf DAVIDOVIC, became a melamed (teacher) in that cheder.

~ Nehrovo Cemetery ~

Jewish families that lived in Nehrovo, and possibly other nearby villages, used the Nehrovo cemetery as the final resting place for their loved ones.

The Jewish cemetery is located outside of town, along the highway. It is seemed that it somewhat maintained.

In the documents section of the "Other" tab, you will find a link to a U.S. Commission Report completed in 2005 that attempted to document Jewish
Cemeteries (and Synagogues and Mass Grave Sites) in Ukraine. This cemetery is not listed as well as many other village cemeteries of
the Zakarpats'ka oblast.
