The plaque states:
“This Temple was built by the Jewish community
of Lutsk at the beginning of the seventeenth
century. It was the Jewish spiritual, educational
and cultural center in Volyn. The Temple is a
prominent monument of medieval architecture.
This plaque remembers the tens of thousands of
Lutsk Jews who were killed by Nazis in 1942.”
