"Jewish Colonization Association"

This was the organization, financed by the Baron Hirsch, which supported colonization in Russia, Argentina, Eretz Yisrael and elsewhere. The following set of printed reports covers the period 1904-1937. -Translated from the French by Chaim Freedman.

Most of the reports included a section on Russia, subdivided according to region, such as Yekaterinoslav colonies.

 

1910 Reports on the problem of grazing (for cattle I assume).

  Grants of money were:
  Netschaievka and Grafskaya - 2241 Rubles.
  Troudolioubovka - 100 R.
  Grafskoy 29 colonists,
  Trudoliubovka - 41 colonists,
  Total  received  2635 R.

Nechaevka was the local depot for the distribution of agricultural machinery provided by the JCA - 340 machines.

Grants to schools (secular) in Gorkaya and Sladkovodnaya.

NOTE: There are no reports for several years during the Civil War.
