Brid Family Photos

To be inclusive, we contacted all of the Brid researchers with an e-mail address listed in JewishGen (as of 07 November 2011). We asked each person contacted for family photographs or anything else to make the Brid shtetl web pages in JewishGen's KehilaLinks more interesting for all current and future researchers. Our sincere appreciation is expressed to all who responded.

Below, you will find photos of families that once lived in Brid. In most cases, the photos you see survived the Holocaust only because they were mailed to relatives in the United States and elsewhere.

He married Rachel, the daughter of Volf and Freida (née ROSENBERG) AKERMAN from Brid. Berel and his wife were killed in the war, along with his daughter, Rachel and her husband, Mordchai WEISZ from Brid. Their children, Yosef Zvi WEISZ and Yisroel Volf WEISZ, both survived by being hidden by one of their father's business friends in Brid. Yosef Zvi WEISZ lived in Antwerp, Belgium, while Yisroel Volf WEISZ lived at first in Munkács, then in the 1960's, emigrated to Israel.
