Harry Haft was only 16 when he was sent to the concentration camps. He was forced to fight other Jews in bare knuckle bouts for the entertainment of S.S. officers. Ultimately, escaping the camp, Harry traveled to America and became a pro boxer. His story of survival and his boxing career (he fought Rocky Marciano in 1948), written by his son Alan, has been published by Syracuse University Press. Click here to read more about the book.

[More of Harry's story will be added here at a later date.]
